Beach. Show. Tavern.

Beaches, Shows, Taverns.

Greetings Cosmonauts and Earthlings,
( July 15th 2008 )
We decided to take the day and head to the Beach.
Armed with bread, mayo, chips, meat, fake meat and some fantastic Blood Orange and Pomegranate sodie pop bottles.
Curving through a hilly landscape and seeing the ocean in the distance, we arrived to a beach next to Malibu.
After a healthy band sandwich session, we took off our clothes ( leaving the necessary swimming attire on of course ) and headed off into the Deep Blue.
Waves, Salt Water and Sand were our existence for a mere hour and a half or so.
We crossed across some rocks and walked onto a hot photo set. Who would think that there would be this activity going on in California? (teehee)

After the Sun,Sand and Sandwich adventure, we trucked over to our destination in Canoga Park.
The Place we played at was a Music Store by day and a venue by night situation in a reddish room in the back.
We played after Ian's friend's band ( Adam Bianchi )
Really Good Songwriter! I suggest you guys check him out!
After the mellow tunage of Adam we took the stage.
The crowd was small, but the sound system sounded fantastically nice.
After the set we packed up and chit chatted with the members of Adam's band, a drunk bicyclist, and a friendly Italian who worked at the music store.
We also spotted a music book with sheet music of STEELY DAN!
We might have to get it today since it was in the half off bin. ( Schwing! )
After the mingling session we set off to some great bars/taverns/pubs/icons.

We parked the van and headed into the Scotland Yard Pub.
The place was a grand place with Scottish memorabilia and decoration.
We shared conversations over Blue Moon and the lovely Irish Tennet's ale.
The Juke Box had some great music ranging from Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds to Iggy Pop to Radiohead.
Also, to confirm the authenticity the Bartender was a rather large Scottish gentleman with a think accent.
We then headed to Casey's Tavern where Morris and Ian played a couple games of Pool.
You can ask them who won.
There were great Oldies playing and a very classic bar atmosphere. It was almost as if we were transported to the 70's again. The first time we lost our bell bottoms, but thats a different story. ( teehee 2 )
That then concluded our night.
That's a wrap!
End Scene!

More to Come....

Love,
Falcon Buddies
